We have launched a weekly Artroom Virtual Session which takes place every Wednesday from 1pm to 2 pm. Held on Microsoft Teams, they are free to NHSG staff and patients. Participants create pieces of work alongside each other (virtually) and the Artroom artists are on hand to offer support, advice and inspiration.
‘We love to chat while we create! During each workshop, we look at a different creative technique that doesn’t require any specialist art equipment – or any previous art experience.
At the beginning of January, we all created our own individual sketchbooks with guidance from the Artists. Using 1 piece of scrap paper, after a few folds and cuts we each had a sketchbook. Some people used theirs to create a comic strip, and others filled them with some writing and doodles. By the end, everyone had something completely unique.’
