Over the the space of a year, Islesburgh Photographic Club have been taking images of all parts of Shetland; from Fair Isle in the South right up to Muckle Flugga, the most Northerly tip of the United Kingdom. The Club have captured to unique light in Shetland which makes the landscape special, as well as the wildlife, people, buildings and coast.

The exhibition shows some of the iconic views of Shetland, and some of the less well known views which perhaps require a walk for an hour or so to reach. It has coastal scenes and landscapes. It has some of their favourite birds, animals, flowers, activities and hobbies.

The Islesburgh Photographic Club has been running since the 1940’s. The club regularly mounts exhibitions in Shetland and enters competitions with other photographic clubs from as nearby as Orkney to as far away as New Zealand. Shetalnd Through the Lens will be shown in Victoria Hospital, Glasgow at the end of this exhibition run.
