The current exhibition in The Small Gallery, ARI is ‘Grids, continued…….’ by Aberdeen artist Sally Duguid.
Sally has a studio in the new artist hub Anatomy Rooms based in Marischal college. Her work is concerned with the structure, rigidity and repetition of grids, coupled with the possibilities and materiality of paint. The idea that the grid can continue on in any direction indefinitely speaks of the need to continue painting after art school.
‘Grid’s, continued…….’ is Sally’s first solo exhibition since graduating from Gray’s School of Art in 2015, and will run to the 8th of September 2017.
