Join a fun and informative mixed media collage workshop facilitated by artist and chartered town planner Karen Maxted to explore and interpret the history and architecture of Norco House in Aberdeen.
The workshops are over two evenings via ZOOM, from 6.30 – 9 pm on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st October.
You will need to sign up for both workshops via Eventbrite.
Wednesday 20th:
Over two evenings, you will explore, through collaging, drawing, and printing, the built form of the building, its function, how the site has changed over time, think about the brutalist movement Norco House’s design embodies and consider the cultural, social and economic links to Aberdeen. Using a variety of found and non-specialist materials you will create, cut, tear, reassemble and overlay drawings from a series of exercises to create works that tell the story of Norco House.
The workshops are part of the ‘Shared Collective Heritage‘ project.
