Maggie Clyde, born in Glasgow in 1952, trained both at the Edinburgh College of Art and the Royal College of Art, London. Her work is in several collections in Britain including, Sheffield City Art Galleries and Sainsbury Collection, Norwich. She has won multiple awards including the British Council Award for Printmaking, the Andrew Grant Travelling Scholarship to the USA, the Scott Hope Trust Award and the John Purcell Prize as well as exhibiting both in the UK and in Europe.
She is known for her printmaking, often using a monochromatic method which allows her to focus purely on the drawing and compositional elements. Her work often portrays narrative scenes.
