In 2010, the new Integrated Drug Service premises was under construction at the Timmermarket, Aberdeen. Timmermarket was purpose built to provide accommodation that would bring the community based team together on one site.
This commission centered on the two external courtyards of the Integrated Drug Service. The main aim of which was to create colourful and engaging outside spaces, incorporate seating and an area for play, which were welcoming and relaxing places for clients, their children and members of staff. Horner & Maclennan collaborated with Susan T Grant on the commission, they worked closely with Integrated Drug Service staff to gain an understanding of the working environment within the Service, on the final designs of the courtyards.
The project was completed in 2011.
