Graeme Swanson is an Edinburgh-based artist, mostly working in the fields of painting, drawing and printmaking. Graduating from Gray’s School of Art, Swanson has gone on to become a Professional Member of the Society of Scottish Artists (SSA) and Aberdeen Artists Society.
His work involves a process of producing multiple layers of colour and texture in a way that mimics the patina of surfaces worn by the elements. Working back through these layers, Swanson hopes to reveal another aspect of the work – adding visual depth and also communicating a personal visual experience or story.
