This month the Projects Team visited both Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen and Moray School of Art in Elgin. We were there to see the degree shows and award graduates with the GHAT annual Exhibitions Award. The Award was first given out in 2019, we temporarly stopped the award in 2021 due to COVID restrictions which meant this is year the Award is in its 5th year.

The Exhibition Award was introduced to provide the opportunity along with financial and curatorial support for 2 new graduates, one from Moray and one from Gray’s, to exhibit in The Suttie Arts Space’s unique setting, and learn about exhibiting in an NHS Grampian facility.

This years recipients are Emily Mitchell from Grays School of Art, who studied 3D Design, and Jen Upson from Moray School of Art, who studied Fine Art. You will see their work in The Suttie Arts Space as part of 2025’s exhibition programme.
