During the planning phase of the Emergency Care Centre (ECC) an art and environment group was facilitated by GHAT in partnership with NHS Grampian. This group was instrumental in addressing the environment in the new building, evidenced by the high quality of the waiting areas, lift lobbies, stairs, signage, ward areas and treatment rooms. The ECC arts and environment strategy embodied and overarching theme of ‘Light and Life’, an approach which is central to each commissioned art work.
