Working in the Printmaking department at Gray’s School of Art, Ross’ practice is embedded in the language of printmaking and drawing, as well as diversifying into other fields.  Of particular interest to the artist are objects; ceramics, multiples, found items and other ephemera which have had some influence on his practice over a long period of making.

In his recent exhibition “bycatch and discard – notes from the frost pocket”, Ross presents these significant objects alongside a collection of his work where images related to and could enter into dialogue with their neighbour, where visual concepts, sometimes generated years apart, took on new relevance and commonality when seen in relation.
