The Suttie Arts Space (TSAS) is based at ARI and opened in November 2014. It provides a place for quiet reflection, to pass the time or to have a much needed distraction. This project is a groundbreaking project to promote the benefits of art in the health care sector and unique in being the first of its kind in the UK.

Grampian Hospital Art Trust are seeking a grant of £20,000 to fund a one year programme of arts and events at TSAS from the Aviva Community Fund.  This is a fund which offers members of the public an opportunity to secure funding for an important cause in their community.

TSAS is open 24/7 for everyone to visit. If GHAT wins this nomination the funds would be put towards the programme of events which includes exhibitions but also film nights, performances, arts workshops and many other arts based activities aimed at the full audience of the hospital site. It has already created somewhere for staff to take time out away from the medical environment – this funding will help GHAT develop more opportunities for everyone.

Voting is now open. The projects with the most votes will become finalists.

Anyone who resides in the UK and registers on the Aviva Community Fund website can vote for projects until 30th May.  You’ll get 10 votes which you can cast at any time during the voting phase of the competition. You can support as many projects as you like with your votes. Spread them around r use them all to support one project – it’s your choice.
