Grampian Hospitals Art Trust presents an exhibition by Catherine Imhof-Cardinal, at His Majesty’s Theatre from 31st January until 29th April 2013.
Catherine is a Swiss-French artist living near Aberdeen in Scotland. She began her career in Aix-en-Provence, France, where she studied sculpture and drawing at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in the early Seventies.
Her work is informed by a strongly developed sense of colour, often in daring and unusual composition of a figurative or semi-abstract nature, impressions gathered on travels and from life in general re-emerge in the paintings. Catherine’s style is very varied and includes abstract paintings done either with screen print paint, oil paint or oil crayons on paper.
