Grampian Hospitals Art Trust is recruiting a manager/ producer to lead on a new project initiative – AMPLIFY

Amplify is a focused project of ambitious participatory arts activity based in Aberdeen NHS Grampian (NHSG) hospital sites. The programme of work is designed to support GHAT’s vision – the pursuit of excellence in arts within healthcare practice, regionally integrated and embedded, nationally recognised and respected.

Aim: To push the boundaries of arts in well-being

Amplify will add vitality to GHAT activity, tempting people out of the wards and offices to discover the joy of art within well-being and provoke discussion around the role of contemporary art in hospitals.

Amplify will push the boundaries of cultural practice within the arts and health sector by investigating the key role of the artist in this context. The starting point will be the initial findings within our pilot project Resonate:Disseminate which has illustrated some of the issues for participatory artists working in NHSG facilities.

Within each commission there will be points of reflection. The intelligence from these discussions along with the evaluation of the programme will inform a published set of guidelines for artists and hospitals.
