A big thank you to all those artists who donated artwork to our CD Exhibition.
Please see the above invite to the Opening Night of our last CD Exhibition in our current Art Gallery. Grampian Hospitals Art Trust (GHAT) will be moving early in 2010 and the Art Gallery will close temporarily. When this happens the Art Office will also move to a portacabin located half-way down the Main Corridor towards the East.
This CD fundraising exhibition marks the start of our programme to raise money for a new Art Gallery on the Foresterhill Site and a range of existing and new art projects in ARI and other hospitals in the region.
At this event we will be launching our Friends of Grampian Hospitals Art Trust scheme. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of new developments in Arts and Health. The first 100 people to join the scheme will receive a mini print by the well known artist Donald Addison. Prints will be posted to you in the New Year. If you cannot make the opening night of the CD Art Exhibition, please enquire at the address or telephone number below.
With your support we will create a new Art Gallery, which will provide:
- a space for reflection, relaxation and contemplation for patients, visitors and staff
- focus for creativity serving the hospital community
- a venue for people sharing an interest in the arts
- a source of artworks for the hospital environment
- a programme with board appeal for all
- a place of refuge for people under stress
So come to our Christmas CD Exhibition – buy a wonderful piece of art for the unbelievably low price of £25.00 – find out more about our new Art Gallery and the many exciting hospital art projects undertaken by Grampian Hospitals Art Trust. And discover where to find us after our move in early 2010.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday 27 December 2009 at 6pm.
Kind regards
The GHAT team
